Craig "Caballus" Harding.

Born July 4th 1969. Died June 28th 2011.

After a 14 month battle with cancer, Craig passed peacefully, surrounded by his partner Tina, his family and his friends. Despite the weakness and the partial loss of his voice, he retained his razor sharp wit, his concern for other people, and his stubborn refusal to admit defeat right to the end.

Goodbye Craig. I shall always remember you.

It is without a doubt another example of total unfairness. As i have already said elsewhere Cab was the best of us, he was one of the true good guys, always positive, always a good mate, always there to put the craig spin on discussions and decisions. For those who havent been in OC long Craig was one of the original members who has played and supported OC from the start even through a busy life and career he as he did in real life always made time to be available. I will miss is smile, sharp wit and jovial disposition.

Is a sad day indeed.

I am truly sorry for your loss Lart. I was deeply saddened to hear the news.

As Stoney said, Cab was the best of us, he lived every day as you should, making the most of what life has to offer. It was an honour and a privilege to have been able to call him a friend.

I will miss that razor sharp wit of his, and that humour that filled the lock channel with many hours of laughter.

Cab, may you ride in peace.

Oh damn, I am sorry to hear that man. I did not interact with Cab much but the few times we were both on Vent he sounded like an awesome bloke.

Craig will be sorely missed, he was once of the nicest guys you could ever hope to meet and a ray of sunshine (though sometimes a somewhat pointed and witty ray) in guild affairs.

I ask that everyone please respect that Lart and Tor will be facing a difficult time as they come to terms with Cab's passing, and that everyone gives them the space they need. Please do not press them if they want to be left alone, support them if they want contact and to chat.

Never would I have thought of such a sad passing but thankfully a peaceful one. I can't think of anything meaningful to say. My condolences Lart and Tor, he was always the one person in the guild that I did like.

Always positive memories of the guy for the length of time that I have known him, I wish I'd had the chance to have met him in real life.

Thanks all for all your kind words.

I have no current idea of who lives where, but for those who are close by ( and haven't heard elsewhere yet ), Craig's funeral is on Saturday at 1:30 at Beauchamps Funeral Home on JFK drive in Palmerston North.
